Afraid

Succumbing to my own thoughts,

i’m a victim of my mind, one that

observes everything but can never judge,

one that sees, listens but is unable to act,

in fear.

puzzled to which path shall i take from here,

whether to reach out to you or play dead,

like i have, all these years…
